Grass fed or free-range beef is typically leaner but more favourable than commercial beef. Because of the lower fat content, it is best when cooked perfectly and if anything, closer to rare than well done. If overcooked, it could end up seeming tough. Using the cooking method of marinating or slow cooking will create tender, delicious beef regardless of the quality of the cut. This type of beef also does very well on the barbeque or in a cast iron frying pan. There are many options when cooking grass fed beef.
