SMASH BURGERS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb ground beef (makes 4 burgers)
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire
  • salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, worcestershire, and salt and pepper until combined. 
  2. Form 4 even balls out of the mixture.
  3. Heat a frying pan (cast iron works best) and cook on medium high heat. 
  4. Place all four balls in the pan (depending on pan size, you may have to do it in batches).
  5. Take a spatula and “smash” (or squish) the burgers down so that they are flat. Flip. Continue to press down on them as you cook them.
  6. Optional: once burgers are almost cooked through, add cheese and cook until melted.
  7. Serve and enjoy!!
