BULGOGI PULLED CHUCK ROAST

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 lbs chuck roast (can be of varied size, this recipe is very adaptable!), thickly sliced or cubed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium opinion, sliced 
  • I TSP ginger (or ginger paste)
  • ¼ cup soya sauce
  • 2 TBSP  gochujang (garlic chilli sauce) 
  • 2 TBLS honey
  • 2 TBPS sesame oil
  • 1 TBLS sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients. Marinate for as long as possible (up to 24 hours, but less is also fine. I have done this recipe and marinated it for 30 mins and it worked out fine).
  2. Place marinated mixture into the instant pot and set the pressure to high for 20 minutes. Then, do a 15 minute natural release before releasing all of the pressure.
  3. This step is optional but recommended: preheat the broiler in your oven and transfer mixture to a baking tray. Put in the broiler (and watch it closely) for as long as wanted to get some crispy edges. 
  4. Serve with rice or any other desired sides. Enjoy!
